Iced Lemon Cardamom Recipe

Fresh and zesty lemons, warm and aromatic cardamom, and the bold, smoky flavor of French Roast create a symphony of flavors you’ll crave all year long


Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 1 Drink

 Cardamom Syrup:
1 ½ tsp. cardamom pods, split open
1 cup water
1 cup cane sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon peel
¼ tsp. vanilla extract
6 oz Don Francisco's® French Roast Coffee, brewed
¼-½ oz freshly-squeezed lemon juice
1 oz cardamom simple syrup


1. Make Syrup: In a small saucepan, add cardamom pods, water, cane sugar, lemon peel, cinnamon stick, and vanilla extract.
2. Heat and stir occasionally until sugar has dissolved. Turn down heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Allow syrup to cool completely and strain cardamom syrup into a glass bottle or container.
3. Make the iced coffee: Add ice to a highball glass. Pour in the brewed Don Francisco French Roast Coffee, lemon juice, and cardamom syrup. Stir gently to combine.

4. Garnish with a fresh or dehydrated lemon wheel. Enjoy!
